LEA is a specialized machine designed for installing self-clinching fasteners, such as nuts, captive screws, studs, standoffs, and spacers —into sheet metal or plastic parts.
This process is known as self-clinching fastener insertion or press-fitting.
Self-clinching fastener insertion uses controlled force to press the fastener so the sheet material plastically flows into the fastener’s undercut/knurl features, creating a strong, precise, and repeatable joint—without welding or secondary operations.
LEA machines are used in electrical engineering, mechanical manufacturing, automotive production, and sheet metal fabrication—especially where reliability, speed, and easy setup are critical.
The LEA machine is available in two basic configurations: with a single-position lower tool or with a turret holding four lower tools.
Single-position version – ideal for small to medium production batches.
LEA 50-A with turret-mounted lower tool – allows rapid switching between up to four lower tools, significantly increasing productivity when combined with intuitive software.
